Sneak Preview

[Ladies and gentlemen! Though I am truly ashamed to ask so banal a question, do you believe in the existence of vampires?]

[Ah, my humblest apologies. Perhaps I should have begun with an introduction. I am Gerhard von Valstein, a vampire upon whom was bestowed the noble title of ‘viscount’ and lordship over this Island of Growerth. But let us prolong these formalities no more. Allow me to instead relay to you the tale of a certain commotion that took place on this island. …Please, I implore you to lend me your ears, that I may stave off my boredom.]

[And whether or not you believe in my existence, my inhumanity is clear as day, is it not? After all, this body of mine—]

Kino's Journey Volume 15 - Chapter 6

In a completely coincidental turn of events, this chapter of Kino's Journey has quite a bit in common with the Baccano story I'm working on now. (It wouldn't be the first time, either. I get the feeling this happened around this time last year too.)

I'll be working on some more Kino's Journey stories before starting Gakuen Kino 4. Actually, I'm going to work on Kino's Journey 12 for kicks. After that will be a chapter from another volume that provides some background for Gakuen Kino 4, which will follow afterwards.

Gakuen Kino - Chapter 6 (Finale)

Gakuen Kino 3 is finished! Coming up in the way of Kino is probably going to be a moderate-length story from Kino's Journey 15 and several more from select volumes, after which will be Gakuen Kino 4.

Sorry about the long delay with this volume, and thanks for reading!

(I will also add that the Puella Magi Madoka Magica OST provides some wonderful BGM to be translating this series to.)

Gakuen Kino - Chapter 6 (Part 5)

It's been much too long, but here's the second-to-last update for Gakuen Kino volume 3. After this volume, I'll probably tackle a few Kino's Journey stories before moving on to volume 4.

Real life is unloading everything on me at once, which means it's time for a break. I'll try to be back by early to mid-July.

Due to unforeseen circumstances irl, next week's update may be pushed back to the week after. Sorry about that.

Gakuen Kino - Chapter 6 (Prologue)

Note about this volume of Gakuen Kino: It is chock full of anime references. Did you know? The guy who translated the Korean version (the version I'm working off of) isn't much of an anime person. Neither am I. Currently I watch maybe four series a year.

Long story short, I may miss a great deal of anime references during the translation of this volume. Kindly point them out to me if you can spot one.

Gakuen Kino - Chapter 5.5

Your weekly dose of Gunslinging Magical Girl Shenanigans returns! (And a day before May, too.) I missed working on Gakuen Kino. It's definitely a welcome change from the crazy complicated exposition of Baccano.

As a side note, there seems to be something amiss with the chapter numbers. Volume 2 ended off with a "Chapter 6" (more of a side story, to be frank), but this volume is also entirely comprised of a "Chapter 6". I blame someone other than myself for this mistake.

Before reading this volume, I suggest that you read this chapter of Kino's Journey. (There was a reason I translated that chapter! Just like with the Shizu story with Ti)
