It's time for Volume XII of Kino's Journey! Some of you may recall that I've already translated this particular volume, but that was something like eight years ago (which is probably more than half a lifetime ago for some of you readers) and I am not satisfied with my work from then. I'll be updating every week or every other week on Wednesdays with edited chapters, after which I'm moving on to Volume XIII.

Trivia: this update in particular is tucked away in the inside cover of the physical book, making it very easy for casual readers to miss completely. I sure did when I first bought my copy!

Happy new year! Sorry about the lengthy wait. My fingers are much better from all the rest, and I can finally get back to working on Kino's Journey...at a slower pace than before. Most likely I'll be updating once every two weeks from now on (I may speed up my schedule for Volume XII because I translated it before and just need to make edits) to accommodate my real-life commitments, but I want to keep going for as long as I can.

On a related note, increasing real-life commitments means that I probably won't be working on the new volume of Gakuen Kino or any hypothetical future volumes of the Naritaverse series (if Narita's editors ever let him write more Vamp! or Etsusa Bridge). I'm sorry if you were looking forward to my translations, but adulting takes precedence no matter how much you love fandom. :(
